Everything Old is New Again

and can be found at https://sigridsthoughtspot-v1.blogspot.com/.

It has been a good 12 years since I updated the blog, and a few things have happened:

  • a worldwide pandemic that could have been a rallying cry for coming together as friends, neighbours, and nations on a global scale was not.
  • I joined the ranks of the neurospicy! After years of effortlessly being able to create and maintain connections with neurodiverse people I encountered, and evidence-based, experientially guided personalities like Jessica McCabe at How to ADHD, it turns out I was one of you all along.
  • I am no longer Class II obese! For a few years now, I am maintaining "healthy" with occasional and temporary forays into slightly "overweight". Well, BMI wasn't designed for what they're being used for, so insert raspberry here.
  • I no longer write for exposure. I write for me and you.

Best news: I am still me. My heart is just as big as it ever was. My boundaries are better defined and I live my values. When systems don't work for the most marginalised, they do not work. I have simply increased my vocabulary and understanding of such matters.

I actually stop and gently smell the flowers when I am out for a walk. I am still the person who can say the uncomfortable things. Chances are, the uncomfortable thought sensations and emotions have been flying through my entire nervous system already. Processing speeds vary, so if you think I might not have taken another point of view into consideration, I will thank you for opening my eyes to it.

    TTFN,
